Last November, Ruth Cook hosted a webinar called Best Practice in Facilitation. It was extremely popular, and included a Q&A session during which we received far more questions than Ruth had time to answer.
So, to set the record straight, we took those questions, and more, live on the webinar, and delved deeper into the art of great facilitation.
Specifically, we covered 4 topics:
- Emotional tone – how to manage energy and level of participation in the room
- Contracting in facilitation – ensuring clarity of aims
- Facilitation styles and cultures
- Facilitation tools e.g. De Bono’s 6 hats – what are they and when should they be used?
This webinar is for you if you want to hone your facilitation skills to run better meetings, to facilitate group discussions with confidence, and improve your existing skills.
You will gain a thorough understanding of the role of a facilitator so that you can be confident you are adding value in this capacity.
Your host is Sonja Antell and she also explains how action learning fits into general facilitation to give you an insight into the benefits of both.
In response to increased interest and demand for virtual action learning and virtual facilitation, we will be running new courses and webinar in the near future and will announce more soon.
In the meantime, if you wish to talk to Sonja on this subject, please email Sonja@actionlearningassociates.co.uk
