This page describes our virtual facilitation course for organisations. We also offer an open version of this course for individuals. See here for more details.
Managers and team leaders are increasingly being required to direct teams, hold meetings, and facilitate groups virtually. For many of us not used to working this way, this requires a new set of skills, or perhaps a desire to add to our existing virtual facilitation skill set.
Keeping projects on course, supervising and motivating staff, are all a little different in the virtual world, but can be managed well, with the right skill sets.
This short, practical course is designed to give leaders and managers the knowledge and experience necessary to fulfil their role successfully when working virtually.
During this course, participants will explore the role of the facilitator and have the opportunity to practice some of the practical aspects of virtual facilitation.
They will learn:
Groups of up to 12 participants work together through a programme of theoretical knowledge and practical application. The programme lasts for 3.5 hours with a short coffee break.
Participants will go on to create their own personal development plan to continue their progress so that they become accomplished, confident and successful virtual facilitators.
Optional follow-on sessions are available, and recommended, to provide the opportunity to practice some of the more practical aspects of virtual facilitation. These sessions include peer to peer feedback, and supervision and feedback from the trainer.

Optional follow-on sessions are available to embed learning, and practice new virtual facilitation skills. We’d be happy to discuss these with you.
Programme dates are readily available and can be scheduled according to the availability of your participants. Please get in touch so that we can discuss your needs further and arrange a mutually agreeable date with you.
This half day course is led by our senior Associate Andrew Odgers
I have never had a facilitator/trainer that got me to learn the way Andrew did. I didn’t want the sessions to end!
Thank you to Andrew for this excellent session and for role modelling good facilitation
