Leadership can be a lonely business. You’re responsible for everything and everyone. You need to be ahead of the game, inspirational, reliable and ready. Whether you’re a CEO, business owner or senior leader, being part of an action learning group with like-minded people can offer a supportive environment giving you’re the space you need to resolve issues.
Joining our cross-sector leader sets, or peer action learning sets, whether face to face or virtually, is a confidential, dynamic way to work together to solve problems, discover solutions and move your organisation forward. Working together to solve problems enables leaders to feel revived and freshly motivated. Our sensitive, experienced facilitators create a confidential environment where all participants will benefit.
We bring together handpicked action learning groups or “sets” of five to eight leaders, from a diverse range of complementary organisations and businesses. We ensure a balance of status, responsibility and experience. We never bring together rivals, competitors or unsuited cultures.
Participants are selected from commercial, public, voluntary sector and arts organisations. Cross-sector set participants always report substantial personal and organisation benefits from the cross-fertilization, as well as the benefits of expanding their networks. See some feedback from our cross sector, cross-organisational sets here. Some of our sets still meet regularly, several years later.
Life-changing in that I took action after presenting to the group and my work life has improved dramatically. The training has also made me more aware of personal initiatives that can be taken to improve relationships on a daily basis. I listen more and am more reflective before acting.
Cross-sector set programmes take place according to the availability of all participants and are scheduled regularly. Please get in touch so that we can arrange a mutually agreeable date with you.

For 18 years I was a member of a Chief Executives action learning set during an amazing period of my life. I am really clear that being part of this set enabled me to take wiser and more courageous decisions both in my job roles and my life than I would have done otherwise. It was also a major source of inspiration and support and even sometimes great fun. I learnt so much from my fellow participants. Joining such a set isn’t a nice to do for a Chief Executive-it is essential!
