Janet is an organisational and inter-organisational learning consultant with wide-ranging experience in children & young people’s services across the statutory and voluntary sector. Her background is in strategy and policy development, and she worked at senior levels in the Departments of Health and Education and at children’s charity Barnardo’s. Her consulting work focuses on supporting reflective learning, facilitating sharing of practice between organisations, strategy development, and influencing decision-makers in complex organisations.
Janet’s first experience of Action Learning was as a participant in a cross-system set bringing together leaders from the NHS and local and central government. She trained as an Action Learning Facilitator with ALA in 2018 and has since used an Action Learning approach to spread innovative practice in tackling child exploitation across multiple sites within a large children’s charity, and to support multi-agency development of an Early Help offer in a local authority area.
