Action Learning

Sarah is an experienced and ILM accredited action learning facilitator and has facilitated sets for Cardiff for Lucid Artists Development Programme and London for Creativity, Culture & Education (CCE).  For Action Learning Associates Sarah facilitated sets for the Real Ideas Organisation (RIO) – a social enterprise which works with schools and creative organisations in the South West. She has also  trained with ALA to facilitate virtual action learning sets which offer a cost effective and environmentally sustainable alternative to face to face action learning sets.

Sarah’s freelance facilitation work has included organisational development for Cornwall Youth Music Action Zone, Cornwall Film Festival and Cornwall Music Forum. An experienced arts administrator she also works at The Works (Dance & Theatre Cornwall Ltd) leading on theatre development, offering advice and guidance to both established and emerging artists and companies on their development. Following a period of freelance research work for Creative Partnerships from 2006 to 2007 Sarah co-developed Cultivate, a ground-breaking approach to rural youth arts provision for RIO. Sarah believes she has the ability to develop a strong understanding of the needs of individuals and organisations – being a good mediator and problem-solver as well as a creative and lateral thinker.
