Mandy is an independent organisational development consultant, an accredited coach, trainer and group facilitator. Passionate about helping people and organisations to discover their strengths and face their challenges, Mandy works regularly in the public, private and voluntary sectors. As senior consultant for a leading diversity consultancy, she helped clients to mainstream diversity into organisational life. Voluntary roles include board member (Albert Kennedy Trust) and community mediator (Camden Mediation Service).
Mandy is an action learning facilitator, and ILM-approved trainer of facilitators. She is skilled in the use of both face-to-face and virtual action learning. Recent clients include managers at The Body Shop, Sainsbury’s, and Nissan, as well as diversity champions at Amnesty International UK; and leaders at Schools for Social Entrepreneurs. Mandy sees action learning as a tool for change in the organisation as a whole, for example, by establishing dialogue between action learning sets and senior stakeholders. She is particularly interested in evaluating action learning, and wrote her Masters dissertation on this subject.
Mandy coaches executives, senior managers and business owners on topics such as strategic thinking; managing change; increasing personal effectiveness; developing leadership skills; engaging employees; presenting oneself effectively; and career development. Mandy raises her clients’ awareness of their strengths, and is particularly successful in building confidence. In addition to one-to-one coaching, Mandy coaches management and leadership teams, helping them clarify shared goals and increase their levels of mutual challenge and support. She also creates coaching skills workshops for managers, including for international managers at Heineken (with John Heywood).
