ALA Director, Sonja Antell joined many leading leadership development consultants at an approved providers’ day on 17 December run by the Oxford University Press. ALA has been working with OUP since June when the company was awarded approved supplier status. Oxford University Press is the world’s largest university press with the widest global presence publishing in more than 40 languages across the world in both print and digital format. Adapting to changes in technology and the challenges of publishing in a digital age OUP is developing wide ranging leadership initiatives for over 1600 global leaders. ALA is currently delivering virtual action learning sets for three groups of leaders based in eight countries. We also delivered an action learning workshop at their Leadership Forum in June.
The approved providers’ event offered an opportunity for training providers to get to know more about the strategy of this major global publisher and the direction of the learning and development work, as well as peer networking and exchange of ideas. OUP shared with providers how they are developing ethical practice globally and the impact of this on providers. The leadership consultants also identified and share passions, interests and specialisms with the intention of maximising collective potential.
