Peer Networks is a national initiative delivered locally through the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) network and local Growth Hubs.
The programme aims to improve the productivity of UK SMEs by helping business leaders find practical solutions to strategic and operational challenges. In addition, it will attempt to address the well documented ‘productivity gap’ between the UK and other G7 countries. This initiative forms part of the Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing EU transition.
The Peer Networks programme aims to promote formal management practices and for business leaders to form productive relationships. It will formalise and facilitate this process by creating of a series of Peer Networks or ‘cohorts’, each consisting of 8-11 SME owners or managers. Each cohort will be led by an experienced facilitator, and these Peer Networks will meet fortnightly to participate in 2-3-hour sessions of action learning (for a total of 18 hours of action learning).
Webinar design and delivery
Action Learning Associates will work with Growth Company Business Growth Hub to design and deliver live webinars for the Peer Network Programme. The webinars will be an introduction to action learning, so that participants will gain a deeper understanding of the process to get the best out of their regular action learning sessions.
These webinars are taking place in November 2020 and are designed and delivered by senior associate Mandy Hetherton.
