Virtual action learning for organisations
Do you work with an international or nationally dispersed team?
Would you like your team to work together and communicate more effectively?
Virtual Action Learning (VAL) offers a proven technique to brainstorm organisational challenges, find group solutions and generate innovative ideas using a cost-effective method that will help reduce your carbon footprint.
VAL is not second best– it offers the same benefits as face to face action learning whilst reducing environmental impact. Research shows an audio working environment can actually bring its own unique benefits to the process. The results - sharpened listening skills, the ability to reflect more deeply and greater insight as well as the opportunity to hone virtual leadership skills which are so important for today’s global organisations and businesses. A team working together to find better solutions, share views and generate innovative ideas.
How does virtual action learning work?
Action Learning Associates’ virtual action learning sets use an international telephone conference facility. This is not teleconferencing with a new name! VAL has its own distinct process and guidelines and a facilitator steers the set through the virtual action learning process. ALA Director, Ruth Cook, and her Associates facilitate the VAL sessions and bring to the technique their substantial experience as facilitators of face to face action learning sets and their knowledge of leadership challenges within many organisations.
Virtual action learning sets for leaders
If there is sufficient demand we can also offer cross sector virtual action learning sets to bring together a mix of leaders from the public, voluntary and private sectors. VAL offers a totally confidential, amazingly dynamic way to share problems, discover solutions and move an organisation forward – all the benefits of a cross-sector set without the travel.
