Special event – ALA’s 20th Anniversary Celebration

Thank you to everyone who has booked to join us this Wednesday, we’ve been overwhelmed by the warm response we have received, and your good wishes for our anniversary.

We’re looking forward to an afternoon and evening celebrating our 20th Anniversary and everything that is great about action learning with you.

We have a packed programme of talks, workshops and networking opportunities so our guests can meet others, talk, further your skills and share experiences of action learning.

1.00 – 1.30pm Registration and coffee, meet Sonja Antell and Ruth Cook, receive your name badges from Melanie Davidson
1.30 – 2.00pm Introduction: Ruth Cook, Managing Director, ALA.

  • Guest speakers: Louise Drake – Director of Programmes and Leadership Innovation at Clore Social Leadership,
  • Charlotte Jones – CEO of the  Independent Theatre Council,
  • Charlotte Millar – Head of Training at New Economy Organisers Network, (joining us from Edinburgh, via zoom)
  • Dr Raj Thamotheram – Founder & Chair of Preventable Surprises
2.00 – 3.15pm Take part in a series of workshops exploring popular action learning topics in more depth, including:

  • Action Learning and Leadership, host Andrew Odgers
  • Virtual action learning, host John Heywood
  • Action learning and social change, host Sonja Antell
  • Integrating action learning and mindfulness, host Di Bligh
3.15 – 3.45pm Break for refreshments, Ann Jones – Sharing learning from long term sets
3.45 – 5.00pm
  • A chance to take part in an action learning set, host Mandy Hetherton
  • or take part in workshops above not attended in the first session
5.00 – 5.15pm Closing address – Sonja Antell, plus prize giving for the longest running self-facilitated action learning set started by ALA
5.15 – 7.00pm Drinks and nibbles
7.00pm Event closes
