Ruth Cook appointed Capacity Development Consultant with UN-Habitat

Ruth Cook has just returned from Nairobi following her appointment as a consultant for the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) the UN agency that promotes socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all.

Ruth is working with their Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) – an alliance of global regional and national partners who help relieve poverty through land reform, improved land management and security of tenure, and particularly through the development and dissemination of land tools. As one of a poll of six newly appointed GLTN Capacity Development Consultants, Ruth will be working with GLTN on action learning projects between now and October 2015.

Jean du Plessis, GLTN Capacity Development Expert, trained with Ruth as an accredited action learning facilitator.   Jean is currently a member of a virtual set that continues to meet after training in virtual action learning facilitation.
