Sonja Antell

An independent management development trainer and consultant with 15 years experience in the field Sonja Antell is a senior Associate with Action Learning Associates.

Originally a qualified social worker, working in child protection and using family therapy, Sonja retrained to work with teams and whole organisations and now has considerable experience working in not for profit and commercial organisations.

Action learning facilitation and training

Sonja gained extensive experience of running action learning sets within large scale organisational change programmes when she worked for Cap Gemini. With Action Learning Associates Sonja regularly develops and runs in-house action learning programmes for organisations such as Cancer Research UK. Sonja also delivers training in action learning facilitation and recent customers for which she has run a tailor-made course include Animal Health, Sage Educational Trust and Cancer Research UK.

Management development consultancy

Sonja regularly works with organisations on management development and organisational change. Some of her assignments include:

co-developing a course for internal consultants for the United Bibles Societies, a culturally diverse global publishing organisation.
designing and running a self managed learning programme for fast track managers in the Financial Services Authority.
facilitating senior team events with customers such as Creative Partnerships, Northern Rock Foundation, National Asthma Campaign and NSPCC.
developing and introducing a behaviourally based competency system for a major retail chain.
implementing a major management development programme for the Refugee Council which was cascaded through senior and middle managers.

Recent and current customers

Sonja has delivered action learning sets for Arts Council England, Cancer Research UK, Financial Services Authority, London Borough of Hounslow and Rethink. Other customers include ActionAid, Creative Partnerships, Kelloggs, IQOC, National Asthma Foundation, National Trust, Network Rail, Northern Rock Foundation, Refugee Council and the Rural Payments Agency.
