Karen
Johnson
Karen Johnson has more than 20 years experience in Health and Social Care, including clinical, senior management, training, development and consultancy; across a range of practice specialisms in primary, secondary, and tertiary care within the public and voluntary sectors. Karen is founder of Coalescence Consulting, an independent training and consultancy organisation specialising in Health and Social Care.
Coalescence Consulting works with health and social care agencies, individually and in partnership, delivering a range of projects and development opportunities; from the individual to the organisational.
Karen is formerly a qualified mental health nurse and social worker. In addition to the work outlined, Karen is an associate lecturer for De Montfort University, and critical reader for the Open University. She was trained by Ruth Cook, Director of Action Learning Associates, in action learning facilitation, before becoming an associate.
Current Work
Karen works with agencies in a range of ways, these can include; facilitation, training, coaching, project management, action learning and consultancy. She has a particular interest in management and leadership, multi-professional team development, collaborative interagency workforce planning and individual and organisation development .
Karen has worked with theatre and film companies to enhance learning in the sectors outlined. In 2001 she was executive producer of a training film for Health and Social Care staff that won the National Award for Innovative Training.
