Di has over 20 years experience working in local government including roles as Chief Executive and Director of Housing for a number of local authorities.
For the past fifteen years Di has worked as an independent consultant, facilitator, coach, mentor and trainer. Di also provides facilitation for boards, top level mentoring, strategic planning and policy advice in the public and not-for-profit sector.
Action Learning facilitation and training
A Senior Associate of ALA, Di facilitates cross-sector action learning sets which bring together chief executives and directors from the public, private and voluntary sectors. Di is an experienced trainer of action learning facilitators and has recently delivered facilitation skills training for leaders in the creative and cultural industries funded by the Cultural Leadership Programme, action learning facilitator skills training for Enfield Council, and open access programmes.
Consultancy
Di applies her skills in whole organisation analysis, review and cultural change, performance management and business planning to public service sector delivery. She is a specialist in developing stakeholder business plans and proposals with extensive experience of urban multicultural organisational and community environments both in the UK and South Africa.
Di has undertaken various interim and chief executive and director placements. She works with senior management teams on business and organisational development and as a coach and mentor to chief executives and senior staff in local government, the arts and foundations. Di also facilitates executive and governance events and has taken an active part in a number of corporate governance inspections. Di is Chair of the charities PEP Charitable Trust and Mandala Trust.
