Recent consultancies, training and action learning
Christine now divides her time between London and Dorset. Part of her portfolio since early 2005 has been working as a Leadership Development Consultant with the Health Foundation, offering a range of interventions to award-winning teams on two of their developmental programmes.
She previously lived and worked in SE London for ten years and was part of the Continuing Professional Development Team within the prestigious King’s College Department of General Practice. This included facilitation of ongoing action learning sets with groups of GPs at various stages of their careers and offering individual support to clinical and other staff through the mentoring programme. She also undertook extensive organisational development consultancy for local NHS Primary Care Trusts in the area, working with medical practices and primary care teams to implement change and develop team building.
Christine has developed and run training courses in facilitation and mentoring skills for nursing staff who induct students, following the courses up with ongoing action learning sets.
Through NACVS (National Association for Councils of Voluntary Service), she was one of a group of experienced facilitators on the Action Learning for Managers Programme from 2002-2004, running sets for managers in the not-for-profit sector. This included ‘training sets’ for managers wishing to facilitate action learning within their own organisations.
Christine also had many years’ experience as a tutor on the Careers Research Advisory Council’s 5-day residential Graduate Schools for leaders and managers.
