Andrew Odgers

Andrew is a managing consultant with wide experience in organisational, people and quality development to achieve service improvement and excellent customer focus. He is highly experienced at initiating and project managing innovative interventions in the public and private sectors to meet strategic business objectives and drive change. His experience of managing cutting edge change and development programmes spans central and local Government, banking, Government agencies and the voluntary sector.

Action learning facilitation

Andrew is an experienced action learning facilitator and accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) to deliver action learning facilitator training. Among recent projects Andrew has designed and delivered an organisational development programme for the North West Improvement Network which included a series of action learning sets for senior project managers. He has also delivered action learning sets as part of a phased development programme for 350 senior managers in Hull and E Yorkshire Hospital Trust. He also facilitated partnership sets between Lloyds of London and the Metropolitan Police.

Consultancy and leadership development

With an extensive background in organisational development within local authorities and management consultancies Andrew has been working as an independent consultant for three years. His early experience was in the commercial banking sector, and then in quality development and service improvement with local authorities. He has designed and led assignments but also worked as an interim manager for various clients.

Recent projects include developing and project managing a leadership programme for local authorities in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and delivering workshops designed to inspire and challenge the top 60 managers of Scarborough Borough Council as part of a cultural change programme.

Andrew’s recent customers include Belfast City Council, The Metropolitan Police, The Forensic Science Service, Wellingborough Council, Ipswich Borough Council, North Yorkshire Improvement Partnership, Scarborough Borough Council, and Fire and Rescue Services in the North West.
