Daniel Scott

Dan is a Learning and OD consultant and facilitator, specialising in building employee engagement and better organisational cultures. Approaching organisational systems from the psychology of the workers, he guides and trains leaders and managers to build the necessary skills and structures and create the right conditions for people to really thrive at work.

Dan also supports organisations to build effective learning and people development functions and processes, and to make steps towards becoming a learning organisation. He is passionate about truly effective teambuilding, having gained wide experience of designing and facilitating teambuilding interventions and retreats for both small and large groups.

Action Learning Facilitation

Equipped with an ILM qualification in Action Learning Facilitation, Dan has established and facilitated many action learning groups within a range of talent and leadership development programmes for both senior and emerging leaders.

For his MSc Research Project, Dan’s paper ‘Facilitating Critical Action Learning’ explored the effectiveness of facilitator behaviour in action learning, and how facilitation can support better outcomes for action learning set members and their organisations.

Learning and OD Consultancy

Dan’s career has spanned the private, public and voluntary sectors. After working in global campaigns for Amnesty International, Dan moved into Organisational Development, supporting local capacity in Amnesty structures worldwide. Building on this experience, Dan worked in both external and internal consultancy roles in organisations including NHS England and Macmillan Cancer Support, before establishing and leading new Learning and OD functions in Diabetes UK and Save the Children International.
